Meet the Team
John Carlozzi, DDS
Dr. John Carlozzi has been practicing dentistry in Lyndhurst for the past 25 years. He is a member of the American Dental Society, the Ohio Dental Association and the Greater Cleveland Dental Society. He currently serves on the Peer Review Board for the Cleveland Dental Society and is an active member in a local Spear Dental Study Club. He served as a clinical preceptor at Case Western Reserve for over ten years and was a past president of the Alumni Board for Case Western Dental School.
John is married to his high school sweetheart, Christine, and they have been blessed with three wonderful children; Alexandria, Isabella and Michael. You can’t forget their dog Ozzie!
Kelly Cherney, RDH
Kelly graduated from Lakeland Community College Hygiene Program in 2011. She has been working with Dr. Carlozzi since 2012. Her favorite part about being a dental hygienist in building relationships with her patients. In her spare time, Kelly enjoys going to Cedar Point with her family.
Jennifer Dobie, RDH
Jennifer graduated from the Lakeland Community College Hygiene Program in 1998. She then worked full-time in a dental office for 19 years. In 2017, she found Dr. Carlozzi and has been working part-time for him ever since! She spends the rest of her working days running a family window treatment business. A fun fact Jennifer likes to share with her patients is that you should floss only the teeth you’d like to keep!
Sue LaPuma, RDH
Sue has been a Dental Hygienist for 36 years and studied at Lakeland Community College. She has been working with Dr. John since 2013. In the office she enjoys making hesitant and nervous patients feel welcome, as well as helping them achieve a smile they are proud of. Sue has been a Lake County resident for 55 years. She is an avid cyclist who loves to take vacations, visit local and out-of-state wineries and go on hikes in the woods.
Jackie Ferris, Dental Assistant
Jackie has been a dental assistant for over 36 years. Her love for dentistry started as a child when a dentist came to her elementary school for dental health month. Jackie’s favorite weekends are spent sitting around a fire at her camper enjoying her family, closest friends and of course with her dog Fremont.
Tara Huss, Office Manager
Tara is a native Clevelander but has lived in Detroit, Michigan and Shanghai, China with her family. She has managed multiple dental offices but found her favorite one with her own dentist, Dr. John Carlozzi! She enjoys meeting and building new relationships with each and every patient.
